Is this good? I think I like it, but I think I listen to it too late at night when I’m tired and my judgement can’t be trusted.
As a blogger it is my DUTY to try and bring you the banginest tunes around, but, at the same time, I don’t want to go to prison.
With that in mind, today I bring you [BAND] with this amazing new track called [SONG] which goes a little like this:
dum-dum-dum-dee-dee-dee-dum
bleep-bleep-bang-bang
HUGE MASSIVE GREAT BIG FCKN DROP WOAAAAHHHHHH!!!!
I’m sure you’ll agree it’s a helluva tune.
Does anybody fancy going to gay Paree?
If you do, and you’d also quite like to see the hypercool French musician and creative visionary Woodkid at this little ol’ place called The Eiffel Tower; then prick up those little ears of yours and read on.
Hang on, wait, that doesn’t make sense.
This is all part of Noisey’s Special Engagements series where fans control the show, similar to that thing what they did in London with The Rapture.
This engagement with Woodkid has three parts:
1) Meet Woodkid at the top of the Eiffel Tower
2) Win a personal song dedication
3) Choose which new song off his forthcoming album Woodkid will debut in Paris
Not too shabs.
Now, to make all this happen for you have to write to VICE and tell them exactly why you think you deserve it the mostest and when you’ve done all of that and had it formatted, proof read, spell checked and checked all of the terms and conditions, send it to .
If you can’t make it to Paris, then fear not: the entire show will be streamed live at Noisey.com.
¡Bonne chance amigos!
Well, you know what they say: “a picture speaks a thousand words.”
I spent New Year’s Eve in this giant sex party that they call Brighton as part of the 2nd annual New Year’s celebration/minor sibling fall-out, although (un)fortunately I didn’t manage to witness any of these sorts of antics.
Maybe I’m losing my edge? Maybe I was never cool enough in the first place?
But anyway, marvel at this snapshot of the best British Culture has to offer.

Pride of St Albans, Friendly Fires, have released a tidy little remix edition of their fantabulous second album Pala. Featuring an exceptional edit of ‘Hurting’ by Godfather of Techno Carl Craig and remixes by Tensnake, Tiga, TEED, Benoit & Sergio and Tim Green, this really is something you don’t want to sleep on!
These remixes are allegedly available in an embed-able widget, but WordPress hates me and I’m not an HTML wizard so I can’t make it work.
Keep making St Albans proud!
Let’s face it, when you’re on your own or with someone you can feel truly comfortable with, all you want to do is just sit around in your pants and maybe a t-shirt/vest. But, that combo just doesn’t cut it in winter, especially with energy prices the way they are.
Fear not, you don’t have to reach for the trousers just yet. Just get your hands on a wicked cool onesie from OnePiece, whether online or at their newly opened store in Boxpark.
Do it, and say hello to a better life.
Fans of The Rapture better prick up your tiny little ears and take notice because this Monday, in association with Dell and Noisey, they shall be performing at Rowan’s Bowling Alley in London and if you want to go, all you have to do is RSVP HERE and you’ll be in with a chance of attending!
There’s a whole bunch of other stuff that you can win too, like bowling with the band(!!), choosing their encore song, t-shirt and poster design which you can find in the above link.
So, if you want to get down the lanes, and have The Rapture soundtrack your night of handling a load of big black balls, this is definitely your thing.
HeyheyHEY!
Now, I’ve been sitting on this for a while now (that’s what she said! Whaddup!), and despite the 3 week delay I do really like this track from Blondfire, along with about 17000 other people it seems.
Blondfire are LA based brother and sister duo Bruce (a strong name) and Erica Driscoll who, if their press hot and single “Where The Kids Are” are anything to go by, combine the aesthetics of Oracular Spectacular MGMT with the sounds of The Naked And Famous, who have made one of my favourite albums of the year. So, it looks like they’re on to a winner!
“Where The Kids Are” is the first single from their forthcoming album Win The Game. Keep an eye out!
(SoundCloud doesn’t seem like it wants to embed so you’ll have to settle for a YouTube video, but if you’re not too lazy to click links and go to ANOTHER page, I know it’s difficult, you can listen HERE.)
Hey, hey, hey!
Remember when I used to post barely, semi-regular updates on here about music? Yeah, me neither. But, I’m back for at least this post! (But, I will up my game. Pinky-promise.)
So, I’d set myself up for a little afternoon sesh on the Internet, in between long morning and evening sessions, and I whacked on ex.fm, decided to be well hip and listen to the “tastemakers” section, and the second track I here was this gem from Bruno Rygseck, who according to his bandcamp page, enjoys absinthe and erotica.
(Bruno bb, give me a call)
Apparently hailing from Helsinki, he has made this delicious glitchy, chillwave track that would sit happily on Neon Indian’s debut album.
Merveilleux!
